Patient Participation Group

Would you like to influence positive change within your health care community?

A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients and healthcare professionals who work together to improve and promote the quality of healthcare services within General Practice. The primary aim of a PPG is to ensure that the healthcare services provided meet the needs of patients and are responsive to their concerns and preferences.

How would joining the PPG benefit you?

  • Gain a stronger understanding and knowledge of the practice and its staff and how we operate within the structure of the NHS.
  • Gain more responsibility for and take an active interest in your own health care.
  • Have a forum for positive ideas and voicing concerns.
  • Offer some peer support to patients in managing their conditions, making healthy choices, and accessing information.
  • Benefit from improved communication and relationships with staff.
  • Become actively involved in developing arrangements for primary healthcare before decisions are made.
